TV Scoop: The Return of The Bachelorette’s Bentley

The Bachelorette finally aired the dreaded ‘return of Bentley’ in last night’s episode.

Let me set the scene for you…

Bentley decided to fly down to Hong Kong because he just had to tell Ashley that…he still saw no future with her. What??! Seriously, nothing happened! He had nothing new to say besides the fact that he wanted her to move on with other guys. I feel like he was approached by the producers and offered a free trip to Hong Kong if he could just tell Ashley that the stupid “to be continued” comment that he made when he left was insincere. The producers obviously saw that weeks later Ashley was still obsessing about this guy on every single date. If that continued than the show could risk finding Ashley her ‘happy ending’ and there is no way they were going down that path. After a couple minutes of conversation, Ashley FINALLY GOT IT. This is a guy that probably loves to have several girls be in love with him at the same time. It was so easy for him to play Ashley it was almost embarrassing. I am sure she feels the same way watching the footage back. I mean, when she went in for a kiss at the door? So awkward!

My favorite part was at the end when she said “F You Bentley!” to the cameras. Classic.

Ashley had her one-on-one with Lucas and JP this week (both safe). They weren’t that exciting although I will say that the locations were beautiful! Hong Kong seems like a magical city to visit and it is definitely on my list!

Ashley broke the Bentley bombshell to JP on their one-on-one picnic date. He handled the news so well. This guy seems like he would never be anything other than understanding, sympathetic, and calm. I know this can’t always be the case- there is a camera on these guys 24/7. I was surprised that he wasn’t upset in the slightest. Ryan and JP were the only guys that reacted the way that Ashley had hoped. When she told the rest of the guys at the cocktail party, they were PISSED. I think Ashley was shocked at how mad they were. She basically told them that any time she had spent alone with them in the last couple of weeks, she was still thinking about some other guy that everyone knew was a douche. That would annoy me too! Every single guy knew that Bentley didn’t care about Ashley, yet she admits that she was in ‘love’ with him after one week!

When Ashley got some alone time with Mickey, he gave her the heads up that he didn’t want to be there anymore. I give the guy credit for deciding that he doesn’t want to be competing for a girl that he considers a liar. I mean, he gave up a free trip to Taiwan and Fiji!

Ashley seems nice enough, but you can tell this girl has issues. She is slightly crazy and that side of her will only come out more as she gets deeper in a relationship. She needs a very specific type of guy and she might just have found that guy on this show! Hint Hint…I know who she picks!

Rose ceremony time…

You could tell when Ashley talked to Blake that he felt like there wasn’t the same connection with them as he saw with other guys. He was right. I kept forgetting about Blake half of the time. No one was surprised at the rose ceremony when Blake was eliminated.

Some notes from this episode…I still can hardly tell Constantine and Ben F apart! It is freaking me out. Why are they both still in the competition? She needs to eliminate one of them, stat!

Ames creeps me out. When he went in that elevator and pushed the highest floor and then proceded to maul Ashley, I cringed. It was bad. Was it just me? I felt like he tried to pull that move from a movie or something. I think he spent too much time studying and not enough time living if you know what I mean!

Next week, the guys travel to Taiwan!

In other Bachelor news, the rumors are true! Emily Maynard (Brad’s ex-fiance) is sitting down with Chris Harrison for an interview airing on July 11th. She is going to go into detail about what ended her relationship with Brad. I really wanted them to work, but it was apparent from their ATFR interview that they were doomed.
