Justin Timberlake & Jessica Biel: Split!

Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake have called it quits!

The two issued a joint statement to US Weekly via their rep saying,

“Addressing the media speculation regarding Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake’s relationship, we are confirming that they mutually have decided to part ways. The two remain friends and continue to hold the highest level of love and respect for each other.”

I KNEW this was going to happen any day now. These two have been plagued with split rumors since they started dating in January 2007, but recently it had been more apparent. I knew Justin was not going to be able to break up with her until after The Oscars. After all, he had a big movie to promote and he didn’t need the reputation of ‘heartbreaker’ while trying to score an Oscar.

As soon as I saw Justin on the red carpet without Jessica as his date, I knew this relationship was over.

Yes, she was at the after parties with him, but that is nothing. The person that he chooses to be his date on the red carpet on one of the biggest nights of his career should be his girlfriend…if that relationship was going to last, that is.

I almost feel badly for Jessica because she has held on SO HARD to this relationship. She desperately wanted to be Justin Timberlake’s girlfriend. She thought it would help her career, but she hasn’t been scoring that many high profile roles lately.

The best thing that she can do is look amazing and start dating someone even better right away.

As for Justin, he will be on the town having a great time. He is in the prime of his life and he knows it. He has always had this pattern with relationships: they are super serious for about three or four years and then he is on to the next one!

Is there anyone else that wishes for a Britney and Justin reunion? I would love it. He could really help get Britney back on top of her game! Make it happen!
