For all of you out there who have been hating what Katie Holmes has been wearing lately, you have her daughter, Suri Cruise to thank. Yes, you heard me. Suri Cruise has been dressing her own mother for YEARS now. Since she was 1 1/2 to be exact. I know what you are thinking- how can someone who can barely talk possibly pick out ensembles for an adult women? Well, that might be why Katie has been looking a little toe-up for awhile.

In an interview for NY  Mag, Katie admits,
“She (Suri) picks out all of her own clothes and has since she was 1½.”

Even Holmes’ gorgeous Met Gala attire and accessories were hand picked by Suri. “Tom and I went to the Met ball a couple of years ago, and I had this beautiful red gown and these royal-blue shoes that I wasn’t planning on wearing, but Suri made me put them on and so I was like, ‘Okay, I trust you.’”

How she and Tom Cruise balance their busy schedules:
“We have quite a schedule, you know? We don’t say, ‘When I’m working, you don’t work,’ or anything like that. Last year he was shooting ‘Knight and Day’ and I was shooting ‘The Romantics,’ and we’d just fly to see each other after we wrapped. And we homeschool Suri — she has a teacher who is with her every day. We like the one-on-one education. I’m happy that my daughter is strong-willed and determined. You really have to go with what the child is wanting.”

Her reaction to speculations about her marriage:
“It’s there, it’s one of those things. My big concern is what does he have going, what do I have going, what are we going to do this weekend. It must seem weird, I guess, having so many people watching. It is weird. I get it. But you just, you know, smile and nod.”

Holmes added, “Whatever (Suri) wants to do, I know she’s going to be amazing at it. I’ve already started my applause, and I will be applauding for the rest of my life.”

I’m sorry. I can just picture Suri standing there with the royal blue pumps and Katie and Tom thinking that she just morphed into Coco Chanel. “I trust you.” Are you kidding me? First of all, I don’t understand these parents who never make their kid wear certain things if they don’t want to. You are not inhibiting their creativity when you make them wear socks. I hate to burst your bubble. Also, the part where she said that she will be applauding her for the rest of her life? Yikes. Suri needs a sibling or some friends STAT. Homegirl is home-schooled and forced to hang with these crazies 24/7.  She is plotting her escape as we speak. When she turns 5, it is ON.
