Jessica Simpson Has A History Of Bad Birthdays

It seems that Jessica Simpson has a history of disappointing birthdays! This year she was dumped by Tony, but when she dated John Mayer, it wasn’t that much better!

According to Page Six:

“Several years ago when he was dating Jessica Simpson, he couldn’t go to her birthday party because he was on tour. So the night of her birthday she had dinner with Ken Paves and a few friends. Everyone thought John would forget her birthday, but then a gift arrived from him — it was a DVD of him in concert. Jessica spent the rest of the night watching the DVD on a loop, ‘being with him.’ It was so sad.“

Ladies, pay attention: John Mayer is not to be trusted! Do not fall into the trap! Who sends a DVD of yourself to a significant other? Gross. I also remember when he gave her a framed cover of an US Weekly that had her face on the cover with “DUMPED” as the headline. Classy.

And don’t think for a second that Nick Lachey is going to go back to his ex-wife and Papa Joe!

“I think it’s fun storytelling, but there’s very little truth to any of it,” the singer told PEOPLE at a party at Dusk at the Caesars Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City Saturday night. “I certainly have heard about her breakup and I wish her the best, as I’ve always done. Aside from that, there really is nothing to say.”

So has he reached out to his ex-wife since her break-up with Tony Romo? “I haven’t talked to her in probably two years,” Lachey says. “I wish her happiness. That’s where it pretty much ends.”
