Ashlee Simpson To Hit Broadway?

I have a very ingrained vision of the acting hierarchy. The best actors are the ones that can perform live on stage. If a celebrity gets that honor, than they must be pretty talented and compelling, right? Well, in this case…no. Rumors have been swirling that Ashlee Simpson is going to be joining the cast of Chicago on Broadway. How does that work exactly when said actress just got fired from a nighttime soap for bad acting? I have no idea!

Ashlee already played Roxie Hart in the London version a couple of years ago and did a good job. But this is Broadway. I can’t imagine how she could have nagged that role. Congrats to her if the rumors are true!
